BUCS: Back to TR7

For the weekend i have returned to the ever amazing TR7 aka Newquay! Im here to DJ for the BUCS Surf Champs. Should be a laugh! :D

Errant Surf Project Barry!

Ok so Project Barry is on the way, we have been searching everywhere for waves! With so many islands to choose from, there is never a days rest, with 6am starts and 10pm finishes almost everyday. We have found about 10 set ups with looooads of potential, just need the right conditions now :)

Everyone is staying relatively sane in the house. Errant Surf have provided us with the sickest pad ever so we really cant complain!

Check out the first video, Timmy is an editing and filming god. He will happily film cows shitting and walk for ever up hills to get the 'shot'.

I go home for a bit soon, to DJ at the BUCS event in newquay. So i have just been getting ready for that :)

Analog Winter Gear is SICK

This is just a quick post about the Analog gear i've been given to use on this trip. The weather up here is crazy, one minute it could be sunny the next a gale force blizzard. So its really important i've got the right clothing. Analog are pretty much the best i could have in these conditions, its a lot like the mountains where Analog clothing is born from, so the snow jackets, trousers and gloves sit pretty at home here.

First Week in The Highlands

Project Barry Is Go! But First Fraserburgh

Ok, so me and Tom have finaly started making our way north. At the weekend we had a UKPST comp in Fraserburgh. The contest didnt exactly go well for me, i made it through a couple of heats and in my last one i needed a 7 to get through, i got a good wave, did three turns and got a 6.9. Typical. But no bother as it wasnt really a priority for me anyways :) At the event we caught up with GroundSwell CIC to help out with some free surf lessons for the local kids. Over the weekend i did 4 lessons, and got about 60 kids into surfing, that would never normally have had the chance. Now its up north with a few keen fellows from the comp...

Errant Exploration Trip 1- The North

Just did a trip up to the north east with the Errant Exploration Team. It was a sick trip with Tom Butler, Mitch Corbett and Chris Thomson. We drove hundreds and hundreds of miles, checked everywhere on the north east coast and surfed our brains out. Ive just been hooked up with Gul wetsuits so it was my first time wearing one, and it was toasty to say the least! We shot with Will Bailey and Tony Plant for Carve and PitPilot. Will post some vids and shots when they come through!

Djing Stuff From The Summer

Over the summer I DJ'ed at a few events. Including SummerBreak which attracts upwards of 2000 students every week for a month. I also had my own residency in a local bar, Fistral Beach Bar and ran another night. The Relentless/Vans Music Festival/Boardmasters was also a big event for me this summer where I played in the dance tent on the Saturday and the beach sessions after party on the Thursday.
